            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Is Hillary running for President or not? Ron Fournier, the AP's ace political
reporter laid out the case over the weekend: Her political action committee, HILLPAC,
has raised a ton of dough and has sprinkled it liberally in states like Iowa and New
Hampshire, her husband Bill says it's not a matter of "if" but "when" and she's also
sharpened her criticism of the Bush administration...

Donna Brazile, Al Gore's campaign manager: "It used to be that Democrats came to
Washington hoping to work for Ted Kennedy, now they want to earn their stripes with
Hillary."

Hillary: "I have no plans to run for president"

Bill on Hill: "Not in 2004"

We'll talk to Fred Dicker of the New York Post and another Hillary watcher on that
matter....That'll be the "C" block...In the A block, we'll do those disturbing
Al-Qaeda videos which were released over the weekend...One even shows a dog being
gassed to death...Pretty horrific stuff...We'll look at Al-Qaeda's chemical
capabilities and what it means in our war against terror...

In the B block we'll do another horrific story coming out of Newsweek: The Death
Convoy of Afghanistan...Witness reports and the probing of a mass grave point to war
crimes. Does the United States have any responsibility for the atrocities of its
allies? A NEWSWEEK investigation http://www.msnbc.com/news/795153.asp We'll talk to
the author of the piece...

In the D block debate, we'll do the Iraq "first strike" issue...Historically we've
also been hit first before going to war, should we change that policy for Iraq?
Charles Kupchan of the Council on Foreign Relations says "no"...Michael Ledeen of the
American Enterprise Institute says "yes"

In the buzz we'll talk to David Horowitz and a lefty tbd on the NEA piece in the Wash
Times...You won't believe what they're suggesting teachers' curriculum should include
on the 9/11 anniversary...Plus, Howell Raines over at the New York Times announced
over the weekend that his newspaper will now publish same sex marriage announcements
in their paper...Should be a hot one!

Gotta run for lunch...Dominic Bellone, Hardball Briefing dude...btw, I saw "The Kid
Stays in the Picture" this weekend...Must see...It's a documentary of Robert Evans
life in Hollywood...Loved every minute...But first, a little shameless cross platform,
cross promotional, tv/internet synergy...

Have you met Nachman? He's not just another pretty face on tv
