            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Tonight, it's a must-see double-feature for political diehards!

First up, the top '08 Democratic contenders will face-off for the first time
since Hillary Clinton pulled off a surprise New Hampshire victory just one week
ago. Tune into MSNBC at 9pm ET for the Democratic Candidates Debate in Las
Vegas as the presidential hopefuls gear up for the state's caucus on Saturday.

Next, the Republican contenders face a crucial contest of their own today as
Michigan primary voters head to the polls. MSNBC will bring you the live
results all night, along with post-debate analysis anchored by Chris Matthews
and Keith Olbermann from 11pm-1am ET.

First during the 5pm edition of Hardball, race has come to the forefront of the
Democratic primary as the campaigns continue to spar over comments Clinton made
last week about the Civil Rights movement. We'll ask Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC),
the highest-ranking African-American in Congress, which side he's on.

Then during the live 7pm edition of the show, we'll talk to our correspondents
about what the campaigns look like from the ground up. Has Michigan become a
must-win for Romney? And will the race issue flare up yet again in Vegas?

It's only on MSNBC: the place for politics.
