Agree it would be nice if there were an API reference for VPE. You should also check out the Fileman browser DDBR. Its pretty good for viewing word processing fields, and is adaptable to a number of uses.
The HL7 message search utility makes use of some undocumented browser features like hyperlinks and constructing documents on the fly. Some pretty nifty stuff considering when this thing was built. Too bad it wasn't used more. The hypertext markup is a little awkward, mostly because its undocumented. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevin Toppenberg Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 1:33 PM To: Hardhats Sourceforge Subject: [Hardhats-members] Has anyone reused VPE programmatically? I really want to use some of the scroll box and selecter functionallity of VPE I have found what looks like a standard entry point at: SELECT^%ZVEMKT() Does anyone know if there is a programmers guide somewhere? Why don't more people use and extend this code to improve it? I want an API reference! Are there politics at play here?
