Dear Member,

In memory of Chaia Bierstone-Podoliak, family members published a book
called "The First Song," a selection of her poems and stories in
Yiddish
-- about 100 pages. The purpose was to donate these books to Yiddish
library collections around the world that are open to the public.

The family member concerned has had difficulty in finding a current,
manageable list of such collections, and therefore seeks your help. If
you know of such a collection in Canada, the U.S. or elsewhere, please
ask those in charge who are interested to request a copy of the book
from her.

The number of copies is limited. The donor may have to give first
thought to those that are received first and which

*       Are on letterhead

*       Are in English

* Give information about the size of the Yiddish collection

* Estimate the size/extent of the Yiddish-speaking target
audience

* Give the location of the Yiddish collection, as well as its
address.

* Give the email address of the collection's contact person in
case the donor has questions

The request should be sent by post to

Ms. Esther Podoliak

Toronto, Ontario, M4Y 2K2, Canada

Questions may be emailed to the donor at
<mailto:epodol...@yahoo.com>epodol...@yahoo.com   She
will
cover the cost when sending out a book, and she thanks you for your
help.
