*Jean Lettofsky, former Director of the Aaron Garber Library of the
Laura and Alvin Siegal College of Judaic Studies* announces that a new
volume-- /Studies in Judaism and Jewish Education/ /in Honor of Dr.
Lifsa B. Schachter-- /has been published. She thinks it will be of
interest to members of AJL. The book, which is available for sale in
both hard and soft covers, contains 21 articles by colleagues and
students of Dr. Schachter on Bible, Education, and Israel and Jewish
Civilization. It also includes three articles by Dr. Schachter, as well
as an article by her husband, Rabbi Stanley Schachter, and one by her
daughter, Amy Schachter Simon. The book was edited by Jean Loeb
Lettofsky, Rabbi Jeffrey Schein and Dr. Brian Amkraut. It is published
by Trafford Press*

entity, its educational role was assumed by Case Western Reserve
