The New York Public Library is pleased to announce the following research
fellowships:

1) National Endowment for the Humanities Long-Term Fellowships which will
provide support for advanced research in the humanities. Applications are
open to scholars studying the history, literature, and culture of peoples
represented in collections housed at the Schwarzman Building and to
professionals in fields related to the Library’s holdings including
librarianship and archives administration, special collections,
photography, prints and maps. The fellowships support 2 fellows for 9
months with a stipend of $45,000.

2) Fordham University’s Jewish Studies Program and the New York Public
Library offer joint short-term and mid-term research fellowships in Jewish
Studies for the 2021-2022 academic year. This joint fellowship program is
open to scholars in all fields of Jewish Studies from outside the New York
City metropolitan area seeking to conduct on-site research in the New York
Public Library, especially the Dorot Jewish Division.

The short-term fellowship will consist of a stipend of $1,250 per week for
a minimum of two and maximum of four weeks to cover reimbursable expenses.
Mid-term fellowships will be available for Spring semester (January-May,
2022), and will offer a stipend of $20,000.  For the duration of the
fellowship, fellows will receive an affiliation with Fordham University.
The successful fellows will give one public presentation and a faculty
seminar.
