Hi Everyone! Israel marks Hebrew Language Day every year on the birthday of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, the father of modern spoken Hebrew. This year, the Hebrew date - 21st of Tevet, falls on January 12, 2023.
In Honor of Hebrew Language Day, The Academy of the Hebrew Language, together with Tnuva, printed Hebrew word quizzes on the side of milk cartons. I went to local supermarkets and took photos of the milk cartons and I posted them online at: jr.co.il/only-in-israel/learning-hebrew-words-from-milk-cartons.htm Additional photos may be added before Hebrew Language Day. Enjoy the photos! Please share. Thank you! Have a good night, Jacob Richman jrichman @ jr.co.il __ Messages and opinions expressed on Hasafran are those of the individual author and are not necessarily endorsed by the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) ================================== Submissions for Ha-Safran, send to: Hasafran@lists.osu.edu To join Ha-Safran, update or change your subscription, etc. - click here: https://lists.osu.edu/mailman/listinfo/hasafran Questions, problems, complaints, compliments send to: galro...@osu.edu Ha-Safran Archives: Current: http://www.mail-archive.com/hasafran%40lists.osu.edu/maillist.html Earlier Listserver: http://www.mail-archive.com/hasafran%40lists.osu.edu/maillist.html AJL HomePage http://www.JewishLibraries.org -- Hasafran mailing list Hasafran@lists.osu.edu https://lists.osu.edu/mailman/listinfo/hasafran
