I am a retired school librarian and subscriber to Hasafran. My granddaughters attend the Shulamith School in Cedarhurst, NY. When I found out they only have classroom libraries I volunteered to help them set up a school library in a designated area of their building. I also want to help them expand their library when they move to their new quarters in Inwood NY sometimes during the next two years.
When I automated the upper school library at the Solomon Schechter Day School in Newton as the librarian, I gave away wooden card catalogs, library cards and book pockets to deserving schools. Now that I am helping Shulamith set up a library, I am in need of these items. I am asking librarians who still have these items or have any suggestions or leads, to please contact me.
