Yes (in 6.8.2, to be precise). It's in the release notes: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/6.8.2/html/users_guide/release-6-8-2.html GHCi now treats all input as unicode, except for the Windows console where we do the correct conversion from the current code page.
