For future reference: http://haskell.org/cabal/FAQ.html#runghc-setup-complains-of-missing-packages The simple solution is don't mix cabal and "runghc Setup.hs", stick to cabal. Remember that cabal subsumes the command line interface provided by "runghc Setup.hs".
