Hi Chris,

The HCP administers the 60 item version of the Costa and McRae
Neuroticism/Extroversion/Openness Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), which has
shown excellent reliability and validity (McCrae and Costa 2004 <> ). This
measure was available as part of the Penn Computerized Cognitive Battery (Gur
et al. 2001a <http://www.nature.com/npp/journal/v25/n5/full/1395721a.html> ;
Gur et al. 2010
<http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165027009006153> ).

For more information on the rationale behind the development of the behavioral
and individual differences batteries used in HCP see Barch
<http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1053811913005272> et al.
2013 or the HCP Q3 Reference Manual
<http://humanconnectome.org/documentation/Q3/Q3_Release_Reference_Manual.pdf> .

Best,

Jenn
