At "will ye go..." you can replace

For something that works better (IMHO) with drones, try the original version of 
the tune, Braes o' Balquhidder (spelling varies).  Here are the ABCs for it in 
G, which you can copy and paste into an ABC converter like the Tune-o-Tron at

The tune makes a better march than love song. Despite it's being overdone to 
the extreme, I actually prefer both the lyrics and the tune of "Wild Mountain 
Thyme" to the earlier Braes.  BTW, while it's based on the 18c Tannahill song, 
WMT is not traditional. WMT is less than 50 years old and still under 
copyright, though the copyright owners have given up trying to enforce it. 

Let me know if you have trouble converting the ABCs. It worked for me, but YMMV.
