          PAS : KE ARAH PEMERINTAHAN ISLAM YANG ADIL
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kalau betul sungguh kata Dr. Rais bahawa tiada negeri yang boleh membantah
atau menghalang keputusan kerajaan pusat untuk menjadikan Putrajaya sebagai
Wilayah Persekutuan, adakah ini bermakna kerajaan pusat boleh ambil
mana-mana negeri atau lebih ekstrim, boleh ambil kesemua negeri di Malaysia
dan dijadikan sebagai Wilayah Persekutuan???
Secara logiknya, ini bermakna kesemua kerajaan negeri boleh dimansuhkan,
sultan-sultan boleh menjadi tiada negeri, sekiranya kerajaan pusat boleh
bertindak untuk menjadikan mana tanah didalam kuasa bidang kerajaan negeri
menjadi Wilayah Persekutuan. Dan ini semua tertakluk kepada PM dan boleh
dibuat pada bila-bila masa!!!
No one can object to Putrajaya decision
By Sim Leoi Leoi
KUALA LUMPUR: No state or party has the right to object to the Government's
decision to make Putrajaya a Federal Territory.
Minister in Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Rais Yatim said all the
Government had to do was insert "Putrajaya'' in the list of federal
territories under the Federal Constitution.
"This proposal to make Putrajaya a Federal Territory needs the co-operation
from the state of Selangor in terms of legal procedures to formally hand it
over to the Government.
"However, this act can be in the form of a follow-up action after the
proposal comes through.
"But no state can object or obstruct to such a proposal,'' he said after
opening the Malaysia-Palestine Solidarity and Friendship Association annual
general meeting here yesterday.
Dr Rais was commenting on reports that a Selangor assemblyman had voiced his
protest over the move, as it would first need the approval of the state
assembly before the proposal could come through.
"The Government does not have to wait for any party when it comes to
amending the Federal Constitution.
"It can be done at anytime. I'm sure the Selangor state legal advisor would
have advised all its assemblymen on this issue,'' he said.
On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the
decision took into account Putrajaya's rapid development and its position as
the Government's administrative centre.
Earlier in his speech to the association, Dr Rais warned that the current
clashes between Palestine and Israel could occur in the Asean region as
well.
"Israel is being surrounded by a sea of Arabs. In the same way, Singapore is
also being surrounded by a sea of Islam or Malay.
"The republic used to be part of this country. But it now has one of the
most sophisticated weaponry in the region from the United States and
Israel,'' he said.
