I did this for the "Fatman Fist" weapon in dystopia. I modified the SetWeaponVisible() for the fist, so it would AddEffects( EF_NODRAW ); (which hides the world model) and then vm->RemoveEffects( EF_NODRAW ); so it shows the viewmodel
