The STEAM version doesn't exist! Take a real look at it, all it is, is a
menu option there are no files like the other source servers that is why it
doesn't work. They have not released the server files in any form yet. And
at this point its likely to be a total mad had if they come out. Personally
I think we are looking at DOD:S only being playable in single person mode
for a bit.

I'm not sure tbh (I thought there were no issues after the patch, but it may
be worth a quick test just in case).
 mani_stats 0
mani_stats_write_text_file 0
I believe were the vars, naturally quite likely to be something else, but
worth a try just in case.

We have just found the solution. The problem was with skin support
and an old chicken.txt so my colleague tells me.

I get more of a kick out of all the other multitude of subsequent morons who
are either upset at the kissker moron, or upset with those who were upset,
and somehow think their moronic response to the other moronic responses will
somehow help to reduce SPAM. This email list is a perfect example of the
repeating ignorance of human nature....including this very post I am now
making.

2k3 has buffer overrun protection so if there is a memory issue
it will die more often than on linux which lacks this facility.

I run 1 server, and rent another one (Art of War Central based), both
configured the same - Mani Mod za, Small statsme (July release - need to
update that), friendly fire IS on, and on my personal server run 4 bots
constantly, and on the AoWC server, we run 6 bots on hard that join
after players join.

For fun, I TK my clanmates at the end of a round if we won, and they do
likewise. No server crashes yet. Maps vary between stock and custom
(mainly de_dust_pcg, de_thematrix, and fy_iceworld on the custom side)

Wondering:

I am also having re-occuring crashes with mani version 1.10za (only
plugin).
Maybe the problem is related to friendly fire..(?) At least that is a
sure way that I can get the server to crash. By killing a team-mate
once, makes no harm.. But killing another team-mate again, even later
in a new game (same map), will get my server to crash with
memory-error...

So... What are your FF-setting? On or off? And do you experience
crashes?
My server has FF set to "On".. And craches...

My personal server runs on W2k3 with only 512 ram with a P4 2.4ghz, my
rented server from AoWC run on windows, though I don't know what
version. Like I've stated previously, I get rock solid performance (just
higher CPU usage on my personal server). When I updated Mani Mod, I just
applied the patch as I didn't feel like backing up anything :P

Forgot to include info on my servers.
Win2003, P4, 2GB mem...

I have a feeling that Windows are more "bugged" in relation to the
update..
And that Linux havn't experienced crashing servers, after implementing
the za-verison of mani's plugin..??
Any comments on that?

I am running a Win64X Pro Server, the updates went right in no problem at a=
ll. I had to upgrade Mani to v1.1.0za only after reading the board,I caugh=
t that, Thanks for the heads up. Run Mattie Scripts as well and nothing to =
update as far as the Scripts were concerned..

This update on my server went smooth and was up in no time. As for my clie=
nt, it went smooth as well and it too is on WinX64 Pro. Fired it right up =
and moved on to playing.

As for systems clients, one of my buds are having a problem on his client a=
nd seems to be directly related to the update with the client optimizations=
. His video card is a PCI - 6200 TC and it appears the bugs are directly i=
mpacting the nv4_disp.dll, this happens when launching the game at the time=
of the Splash Screen loading just prior to the Menu.

If anyone has any suggestions on this one... Fire away... tried roll back o=
n Video drivers, check update, etc... nothing stands out.

I am running Mattie's, - LastmanStanding, Couter-Bet and Mani v1.1.0za and

The crash does not retain logs from the game in the logs folder when this i=
s
occuring. I luckilly had HLSW running and it automatically saves the
console to a log file. There are no error messages, the last line on both
logs is a - suicide with "world".

Has anyone else experienced this? I can't see how it would be plugin
related, but I am running Mani Plugin 1.1.0za, Mattie's EventScripts
0.9.1.0 , LastManStanding 2.5, counter-bet-menu 1.3 and Vweegit's
Pickpocket 1.2.

I just talked to one of the admins who was on the server at 12:25pm PST and
said he was on de_dust2 playing against 1 bot. He planted the bomb and when
it blew, he died from it, and the server crashed then too. So 3 committed
suicide with world have caused a crash.
