For what it's worth there is an open issue on the Source-1-Games Linux issue tracker at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/5043 that has a fair bit of momentum, especially recently (the issue's been open since mid-July).

oh thats too bad.  This list is really for dedicated-server stuff .  However, I am sure if anyone knows anything about why the client might be misbehaving, they will chime-in.
Good luck!

It's launching the TF2 Linux client. I have not had this issue
with the dedicated servers as of this moment.

Is this Linux dedicated server build (appid 232250)? or a
launching the TF2 linux client? (appid 440)?

Since the latest update yesterday I haven't been able to
boot the Linux version of TF2. I tried reinstalling and
            resetting my copy.

When launched from terminal I get the following error:

pid 106751 != 106750, skipping destruction (fork without
            exec?)

src/tcmalloc.cc:278] Attempt to free invalid pointer
            0x9e87ad0
            /home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Team
Fortress 2/hl2.sh: line 72: 106753 Aborted  (core dumped)
            ${GAME_DEBUGGER} "${GAMEROOT}"/${GAMEEXE} "$@"

Has anyone else experienced this error at all? A program
trying to access RAM it isn't allotted is generally
            considered a bad thing.
