I have a HP Photosmart D5160 and I want to use with my Mandriva 2007.1
Power Pack. Running command “rpm -qa hplip” I get “hplip-1.6.12-
2mdv2007.1” so I had HPLIP 1.6.12.
Trying to install the printer I don't found the driver, also if it
seems from your site that D5160 is supported from version 1.6.9.
Then I tried to install the newest version 2.7.7. I downloaded the
file hplip-2.7.7.run and I follow the installation procedure. When it
ask for root password I wrote it and hit enter but the installation
"lock". The slash rotate, sometime the hard disk blink but nothing
happens. I tried to write again password and press enter but nothing
change. I wait for ten minutes and then I press ctrl + c to stop.
Included you'll find the log file generated during the last attempt.
