Hi,

There seems to be a timing window with this HP product family (ie:
clj2550, clj2840, lj3050, lj3055, clj4730mfp) that makes the print job
3-4 times slower than normal. This issue seems to be PC hardware
specific and USB 2.0 specific. Fortunately there is a perfectly good
work around.

In the data/models/models.dat file change the "io-mode=4" to "io-mode=1"
for your printer record. Note, your printer record should match your URI
(ie: [hp_color_laserjet_2550] or [hp_color_laserjet_2550_series]). This
will change the USB printing data transport from 1284.4 to "raw".

The models.dat changes should be in the next HPLIP release.
