Hello all..

I have a Fedora core 4 server on my home network. I use the server primarily
for backups and for file sharing with my Windows machines, but I have also
attached an HP OfficeJet 5510 (Print/scan/fax/copy) printer to it. I would
like to use it as a shared printer that could receive print jobs from the
Windows machines (One XP Home PC and one Vista laptop).

CUPS/SAMBA appear to be working correctly. The printer shows up along with
my shared directories on the XP machines. I can connect to it and print to
it without any issues from the Vista laptop (Scanning also works fine using
XSANE on either windows box). Only problem remaining is that I cannot print
from the XP box. I can see the printer.. I just can’t print to it. I’ve used
HP specific drivers and the built-in HP OfficeJet driver that XP ships with
but neither one works. I am also unable to update the driver.

Short of upgrading my PC to Vista.. I’m completely out of ideas. Any
thoughts? Just for completeness, the output of my “hp-check” is:
