Another question:  Were you using compression?  Phillippe Andersson 
reported a reduction from 30 hours to 22 hours by removing 
compression.  Since compression should reduce the disk access, it 
seems that it should be taking about 30% of the CPU time.  However, 
the profile didn't report any time in compression (or the DB code at 
all, as far as I could see).
