Hello List,
I have packaged and submitted the 'htdig' package for the inclusion in Sarge. This is currently the 3.1.6 release witth all the paches that seemed reasonable to include. It will enter Sarge as Version '3.1.6-9' or later (-9 being the Debian Revision), or perhaps with a higher debian revision, depends a bit if I find a few more bugs I can easily fix.
At the moment I am in the process of perparing the 3.2.0b6 package (that should enter Sarge as package 'htdig3.2'). According to a debian package control tool (lintian), I still have the following problems:
- HTFileType, htdb_dump and htdb_load, htdb_stat lack a manpage
I haven't found any infos on those programs so far, so how can I write a manual page about them?
- More or less all compiled binaries define an rpath (which imay pose a problem). Getting rid of the rpath means modifying the build process (the generation of libtool..). Is it possible to do that for all 'linux/unix-like' installations, or is there any installation out there that relies on that rpath?
I think in other linux diustributions ir will be as much of a problem, even if they may have a leaner policy towards it
Yours
Robert
