Sepanjang offshore Myanmar, gas field yang ada antara lain Shwe field (Rakhna basin), Yadana (Moaltama basin) dan kearah tenggaranya Yetagun (di Mergui terrace). Lapangan-lapangan itu mempunyai temperature gradient rata-rata 2.5 - 2.9 F/100ft. Makin keselatan dari Yetagun umumnya dry wells dengan temp gradient rata-rata 1.65 - 1.9 degF/100ft. Di Andaman sea basin ini problem utamanya adalah source dan charging.
Bila melihat letak dari daerah yang ditemukan BPPT, analogi field yang lebih mendekati adalah Yadana field (Oligocene-Early Miocene Carbonate).
