Based on the earlier reply I'm not so sure the versioning would be
effective for what you are accomplishing in ifolder.

Other benefits might include
1. Not needing to maintain/depend on flaim (I remember it not being so
easy to build back in the day..not sure of it's current state)
2. Potenial api's that are available via couch (REST, etc)

With ubuntu, apache, others? supporting it seems like you would get some
added synergies.

Having said all that, it doesn't make sense to pug a square peg in a
round hole and I'm not familiar enough with ifolder anymore to give
quality input.
