My user upgraded to 4.61 and sees the same behavior. See attached dump. (This post probably belongs on the Pine mailing list.)
Thank you for calling attention to the fact that it still happens in 4.61. That's why I had to prevaricate in my message; I knew that I fixed the problem in imapd, but none of us could remember if it was fixed in Pine or not.
