It's been six months and a few bug fixes, here's 1.6: In case you're wondering what this package does, see http://www.gnu.org/software/vc-dwim/
Very briefly, there are two tools: vc-dwim is a version-control-agnostic ChangeLog diff and commit tool. vc-chlog is a helper tool for writing GNU-style ChangeLog entries. Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature[*]: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.6.tar.xz http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.6.tar.xz.sig Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth: http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.6.tar.xz http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.6.tar.xz.sig [*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this: gpg --verify vc-dwim-1.6.tar.xz.sig If that command fails because you don't have the required public key, then run this command to import it: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 7FD9FCCB000BEEEE and rerun the `gpg --verify' command. This release was bootstrapped with the following tools: Autoconf 2.68.101-b8546 Automake 1.11a Gnulib v0.0-6711-g262ac66 NEWS * Noteworthy changes in release 1.6 (2011-12-23) [stable] ** Bug fixes vc-dwim now works even when you set GIT_EXTERNAL_DIFF vc-dwim no longer fails when it encounters a ChangeLog line like "* file (...)" (i.e., with no colon) when that line ends with a ")". "vc-dwim a/ChangeLog b/ChangeLog" would mistakenly complain about an "--author/ChangeLog mismatch" even though the two name/email pairs in the ChangeLog files were identical. ** Changes in behavior vc-dwim now warns when you forget to add a one-line summary
