It was exactly one year ago, July 20th 2000, this very day, that I sat
among a hypnotized throng of motley Perl hackers, soaking up the crazed
rantings of an Australian Doctor of Witchcraft. One Damian Conway. The
seed of an idea most evil was sown into my poor brain and did not give
me but a few hours of rest until it was able to manifest itself into
code and permanently infect the CPAN.
