This Seminar will focus on Wisdom in the Thoughts, Words and Actions
of People in the East:

- East Asia (Japan, China and Korea)
- Pacific Islands (Polynesian, Marquesan, Melanesian Islands)
- Southeast Asia (Mainland and Insular)
- South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka,
  Maldives)
- West Asia/Middle East

Wisdom from the major religions, belief systems and faiths of the
world:

- Judaism (ancient Hebrew, the natural wisdom in the Hebrew Bible,
  sacred text the Torah, The Ten Commandments, Israel’s wisdom
  literature) 
- Christianity (the Bible – the biblical proverbs, Jesus and his
  sayings, the New Testament)
- Islam (The Qur'an, Prophet Muhammad and his Hadiths; early
  Muslim scholars, the concept of the Qur’anic Hikmah)
- The wisdom of Confucius
- Hindu Wisdom
- Buddhist Wisdom
- Wisdom in Taoism
