Tenure-track position in Philosophy at the rank of Assistant
Professor. 

We are seeking someone with an expertise in ethics from within any
Asian tradition, African/a tradition, Native American or other
Indigenous tradition, Arab or Islamic tradition, or other tradition
that has not been standardly represented within the western
philosophical canon. The successful candidate will be expected to
offer at least three courses a year in ethics and/or applied ethics
as well as courses that contribute to the College’s general education
requirements. The candidate may have the option to cross-list courses
in interdisciplinary departments and will have the flexibility to
teach in accordance with her/his interests. The standard annual
teaching load is five courses. A shortened tenure clock is possible
for applicants with prior experience. The College provides a generous
sabbatical leave program and professional development support for
both research and teaching. Effective August 2017. Ph.D. in
Philosophy is required.
