[Many Arabs and Muslims were bracing for yet another wave of anti-Arab, anti-Muslim sentiment sweeping across America, as a rash of lasers aimed at airplanes were being reported. Such reports of blinding laser beams aimed at airplanes and helicopters helped keep the terrorism fear among Americans alive, and al-Qaeda remained the prime suspect. The arrest of David Banach brought a sigh of relief to the much maligned Arab and Muslim population. While the media (rightly) did not invoke his religion (from his name, he sounds like a Jew), had it been a Muslim, such gentle handling of one's faith and race would have been out of the question.

Readers will remember that, hot on the heels of 911, Americans faced another terror attack. Deadly anthrax contaminated letters that were mailed to NBC's Tom Brokaw, Senator Tom Daschle and others. Arabs and Muslims were suspected to be behind this terror, especially because the letters contained phrases such as "Allah is Great". Again, much to the relief of Arabs and Muslims, the FBI uncovered the suspect to be Jewish microbiologist Dr. Philip M. Zack. It appears that the "Arab-hating-Jew" was behind a conspiracy to frame a colleague who was born in Egypt and who worked, along with Dr. Zack, at the U.S. Army's Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases in Fort Detrick, Md.

The case against Dr. Phillip M. Zack began unravelling when Egyptian-born scientist Dr. Ayaad Assaad, now a U.S. citizen, was called in by the FBI for an interview on October 2, 2001. The FBI had received an unsigned letter falsely accusing Dr. Assaad of being responsible for mailing the anthrax tainted letters. The letter stated, among other things, "Dr. Assaad is a potential biological terrorist," and "I have worked with Dr. Assaad, and I heard him say that he has a vendetta against the U.S. government and that if anything happens to him, he told his sons to carry on." The anonymous letter falsely accusing Dr. Assaad was sent a little after the September 11 terrorist attacks but before anyone knew about the anthrax-laced letters. (Our own CSIS uses such anonymous information to arrest and jail Muslims in Canada. Some are languishing in jails for many years, torn away from their children and other family members).

A group of coworkers led by then Army Lt. Col. Philip Zack began a hateful campaign to harass and get Dr. Assaad fired from his duties. The Zionists apparently wanted to get rid of anyone that could uncover their sinister plans which consisted in stealing "weapons grade anthrax" and other deadly viruses used in biological weapons. The conspirators had the support of the lab's former commander. ..  For continuation of this suspense story please Read: "FBI Closes in on Anthrax Terrorist - Prime Suspect is a Zionist" http://aztlan.net/zack.htm

Readers may also remember that several suspicious characters, just prior to and after 911, were arrested. Some had many incriminating documents on them, including maps of nuclear installations in the US. Some others were dancing on a truck joyously, as the planes crashing into the WTC towers. As soon as it was known that they were Israelis and, some Mossad agents, they were quietly sent back to Israel. Investigators were told that anything related to Israel and 911 were 'classified' and were denied access to important documents.

According to another investigative reporter Robert I. Friedman, the first WTC attack, blamed on a blind Muslim scholar (who is now being tortured in solitary confinement), also had Israeli connections. Read:  "Mossad Link to First WTC Bombing Raises Eyebrows" http://tinyurl.com/52e88

The fact that David Banach was arrested under the 'Patriot Act' seems to indicate that the authorities believe him to be a terrorist, rather than just a prankster. However, since he is not a Muslim or an Arab, we may never see media headlines on this story.]

New Jersey man charged in aircraft laser incidents

NEWARK, New Jersey (AP) -- A man who initially claimed his daughter aimed a laser at a helicopter was charged after he told federal agents that he pointed the light beam at two aircraft, authorities said Tuesday.

David Banach of Parsippany faces charges of interfering with the operator of a mass transportation vehicle and making false statements to the FBI. He is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court on Tuesday afternoon.

The aircraft were targeted by the lasers near Teterboro Airport.

On Wednesday night, a pilot preparing to land a chartered jet with 13 people aboard reported seeing three green laser beams about 11 miles from the airport.

On Friday, a helicopter carrying Port Authority detectives was hit by a beam as they surveyed the area in an attempt to pinpoint the origin of the original beams.

The two incidents were among a rash of recent reports of lasers allegedly aimed at aircraft, raising fears that the light beams could temporarily blind crew members and lead to accidents.

Last month the FBI and the Homeland Security Department sent a memo to law enforcement agencies saying there is evidence that terrorists have explored using lasers as weapons, though federal law enforcement officials have said there is no evidence of any terrorist plot in the current incidents.

According to court papers, under questioning Banach admitted lying and said he shined a laser beam at both the jet and the helicopter. He has not been charged in the helicopter incident.

His attorney, Gina Mendola-Longarzo, did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday.

The chartered jet was flying at about 3,000 feet when the pilot and co-pilot saw a green laser beam strike the windshield three times, according to court documents filed Tuesday. The flash blinded the two temporarily, but they were later able to land the plane safely.

After the helicopter crew also reported seeing laser beams, FBI agents canvassed Banach's neighborhood.

Banach told the agents it was his daughter who shined a beam at the helicopter, according to court papers. He denied the laser was in use when the jet had passed nearby. But later, Banach submitted to a lie detector test and eventually said he shined the laser beam at
both aircraft, according to the court papers. The papers did not give any alleged motive.
