Mladen, I fully understand your unification approach but I do think that you
are breaking the principal of least surprise. Linux on IA64 is different than
HP-UX. While there is 64 bit with Linux on Itanium, HP-UX has two modes of
operation and to offer the least suprise, we should build how the GCC would
build by default -- 32 bit.
