How would that make sense? Suppose that you have a PDF with 10 pages with size 101 KB. Now if you split that PDF into 10 separate pages, what do you expect? You could end up with 10 PDFs each with a size of about 11 KB. 11 KB x 10 > the original 101 KB, but that's normal. However, you can also end up with 10 PDFs each with a size of 100 KB. For instance: if every page in the original PDF contains an image of about 99 KB, that image will have to be present in the 10 separate PDFs. So the 101 KB PDF will result in a total of 1000 KB if you split it.
