Actually, the pdf you made has the dark line too, same as mine. It is only visible at 150% and above zoom level. But, at the same zoom level or even more, the original Tiff file does not show the dark line and it doesn't look like it was on the original scan. How do I fix this- I am practically using the tutorial code verb atim since the line started appearing, and fiddling with the parameters did not help.
