Yes, PDF fully supports this workflow and iText can be used to enable it. From: Sérgio Silva [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 9:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [iText-questions] Does PDF support signing a changed signed PDF ?
Hi everyone! I think I have a more theoretical question that iText related one but I will try anyway. I want to know if it is technologically possible to do the following : 1) User Joe submits a self signed PDF to a system 2) The system adds a page to the end of the the PDF file with some info or adds info to each page. 3) The system self-signs the resulting PDF and returns it to the client. It should be possible to do the following with the returned PDF : 1) The client can validate is own signed revision of the PDF 2) The client can validate the system signed revision of the PDF I think this is possible using signed revisions but I am not sure. Best regards, Sérgio Silva
