You're going to create an APK that produces PDFs and you aren't going to
distribute it?
Or: you're going to create an app that downloads a PDF created on the
server?

That depends: will you publish the entire source code of your project
for free as AGPL, and not sell any licenses to the users of your
software? Then you'll be using iText as AGPL. However: if you don't
intend to open up your source code, it's safer to buy a license.

No, the Android version of iText is AGPL only.
If iText is used/included in your APK, you need a license, unless you.
If the Android app fetches a PDF from a server, you need a license.

You're not being clear.
1.) There is no version 2.71. There is a version 2.1.7, but that's not
suited for use on Android.
2.) If you aren't going to distribute the application, where are you
going to include the source code?
3.) If you're using iText as AGPL, you are obliged to publish your
source code with iText in it.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
