Unless my mail reader lies to me, there unfortunately was no code in your mail, merely the PDF. So I simply gave it a run (PdfTextExtractor.getTextFromPage with LocationTextExtractionStrategy, current iText trunk) and I compared the output to the PDF --- as far as I can tell all characters were correctly extracted.
