Hi,
in our project we use iText 1.4.6 for merging PDF´s created by Acrobat 9.5.
I know it´s an old Version, but it could concern the newer Versions too.
Sometimes iText throws the Exception
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Rebuild failed: trailer not found.; Original
message: PDF startxref not found.
at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfReader.readPdf(PdfReader.java:477)
at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfReader.<init>(PdfReader.java:175)
at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfReader.<init>(PdfReader.java:164)
The critical PDF is readable in Acrobat and PDFXViewer.
Is this a bug of iText?
If yes: is it fixed in newer Versions, or can you explain a workaround
please?
If not: Are iText and Adobe Acrobat 9 incompatible?
