We now have got it to work (i.e. managed to persuade CutePDF to print a new PDF
copy - without crashing while attempting to do so.

Appears that is only again the XMP/RDF part of the content in the PDF that is
causing the problem. "Confidential" tagging appears to be OK

We're experiencing an issue processing a PDF that has part of the text
labelled with the "Confidential" labelling (from the Advanced Edit
toolbar options in Acrobat).

We're not sure if this is purely that - or in combination with the
XMP/RDF plug-in too - as the users also have that installed.

Adobe Reader displays the PDF - but CurePDF fails to re-print the PDF -
so this appears to be a broader issue. Anyone else encountered this?

Thanks, David RR Webber

I don't know about Image Alchemy, but
many Mac OS applications will write such metadata
into image files. I have not, however, seen that
go into the PDF itself - UNLESS it is inside the image data.

Can you provide a sample PDF demonstrating this?

What do you mean "hits that page"? What specific API call in iText?

OK - that would be the TextTouchup tool most likely.

Sounds like a CutePDF issue....have you contacted them?

The XML that you included is XMP
metadata and has been part of the PDF spec since
Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4). iText has supported both
READING and WRITING of XMP for at least a year.

What sort of problems are you having?

Hello,

We would like to use the PDF converter package to convert tiffs to pdfs, but
our server has java 1.3. version installed and due to various issues there is
no way we can upgrade it to 1.4. Do you have by any chance build for 1.3 which
we can use to convert tiff files to pdf files? Thank you,

Regards,
Karina Ishkhanova

Hi,

have dubious problem .
I have a pfx-cert made with openssl, and a original-cert by my costumer. If
i use the signcode from itext.sourceforge to sign PDF-docs, it works with
the openssl-cert fine with alle filesizes.
If i use the costumer-cert it dont work with small PDF-docs. If the filesize
is larger then 80kB it works great.

All my PDF-docs have 15-40kB, the openssl-cert works, but the costumer-cert
works only with files larger then 80kB.
Why?

Where is the problem?

Best regards
Mario Batz

Signing doesn't depend on file size. Are you saving the file to disk or
serving it to the web?
