Well, at least they should say what they require in a CMS signature
container to accept it. If they indeed require the ESS
signing-vertificate[-v2] for security and stated that in a verification
failure message, everything would be in best order. Unfortunately there is
nothing like that in the message, nor is there anything in their Foxit
Reader manual.

I'm sure you can add data to use as signed attributes there, too. In that
case Windows CAPI is very likely to add the MessageDigest attribute
automatically.
