Hi everyone; I am trying to read through a pdf document and determine which
color the text is. I have been researching across various forums but
nothing has been overly helpful.

I have seen examples to determine all of the fonts within a file, but that
example only returned the BaseFont; and as I can tell there is no way to
deduce the color from the BaseFont.

I am assuming (at this point) that for this functionality I will need to
pass the pdf through the renderer to get this information, but I'm
struggling to find good documentation on this.

In summary I have a series of pdf files containing text that may be all
black, or contain one or more colors in addition to black. I need to be
able to determine all of the colors within the file. And that is all.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Aaron
