That's what I did  before and it failed...It detected it as <unknown>

But I think i've got it working now with ivtv tuner=50, except i have to 
multiply the frequency by 16, is that correct behavior?!

I don't get any sound, but as that is known not to work that's fine.

I've got one bug that's probably not with ivtv but with mplayer, mplayer seems 
to start losing/dropping frames after some time when it has a signal 
(mplayer /dev/video), and strangely if i set a longer buffer, it seems to 
start after its buffer reaches zero... Strange. But if I use cat to dump a 
file and play it in mplayer it works fine...:\ I don't get it... And if I 
shift away from the a signal on the tuner and to static the signal seems to 
be fine (after a second or two)...
