I was thinking more of memory/word of mouth. Ever try to talk to someone about slashdot? "yes, s, l, a, s, h, d , o, t, 'dot', org"... I know people that think everything is .com, and where completely clueless about the whitehouse.com website. But, most people who can install/run linux know how to handle a url. It's the people who just say 'i've installed windows once, i can install linux, and i'll just use jarod's guide' that i'm worried about. I thought iv.tv was cooler though, the easy solution = do both :) I also wanted everyone else's perspective on the situation. I have no influence in the domain name, but i figured i throw this up for conversation. > I can't tell you how many times I've gone to pioneer.com to > look for information on a head unit I am thinking of for my car only to > realize it's pioneeraudio.com. think about how Uzi feals, www.nissan.com :) ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
