Don't know what to tell you, man. I force it to be tuner type 39 in modprobe.conf, and both MythTV and ptune.pl work like a charm for me for NTSC over the air broadcasts and comcast in my area. Letting it autodetect doesn't result in a very happy making system.

Looks like your autodetect looks identical to mine, including the questionable audio_processor line. I haven't had any time at all to look at this after I first fired off my initial email, but it still looks wrong.

--leo

Has anyone had any luck with getting the above tuner to work? I saw an earlier thread with someone who claimed to have the same tuner, but I was a little unsure if Leo really had it working. I have tried type 43 as well as a slew of other ones (including type 39 as per the previous thread). I believe I have a general working setup as I can get the composite input to work. Also it appears the the PLL is tring to lock, but is unable to as the output cycles between black screen and snow, vs always snow if I disconnect the input.

Here is the obligatory debug info:

*tveeprom*: Hauppauge: model = 26552, rev = C258, serial# = 7529589
*tveeprom*: tuner = Philips FM1236 MK3 (idx = 58, type = 4)
*tveeprom*: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000)
*tveeprom*: audio_processor = MSP3410D (type = 5)

I verified the exact tuner model from the card.

Thanks,
Neil
