I come to this conclusion, because I set the audiofmt to 4 an with 3.2 r this
is the output
with debug=2 for cx25840:

ivtv: Initialized WinTV PVR 150, card #1

cx25840: Decoder set size 720x576 (from 720x576) -> scale  0x65536, filter 0
cx25840: Scale

As you can see it is forced to use the right audio mode.

cx25840: Status: 'Forced Mode' (Detected audio mode)
cx25840: Status: 'Forced audio standard' (Detected audio standard)

And here with 3.2 w ( x gives the same output)

ivtv: Initialized WinTV PVR 150, card #1
module ivtv_fb unsupported by SUSE/Novell, tainting kernel.
ivtv-osd: Framebuffer module loaded (attached to ivtv card id 0)
Device not ready. Make sure there is a disc in the drive.
ivtv-osd: screen coords: [0 0] -> [720 576]
ivtv-osd: original global alpha = 208
ivtv-osd: current OSD state = 39
ivtv-osd: new global alpha = 208 (1 255 0)

forward, rewind, pulse, or slow)
cx25840: decoder set size: ignoring bad config request Hsrc=720 Vsrc=487
width=720 height=576

Now it does not value my option audiofmt=4 and tries to autodetect it which
fails.

cx25840: Status: 'Mono' (Detected audio mode)
cx25840: Status: 'Not defined' (Detected audio standard)

===========================================================

So it seemed to plausible, that the value is overwritten somewhere.

If I'm wrong sorry. I should have written more clearly that I _think_ it is
overwritten.

Thanks for any help someone could provide.

Regards Marcel
