There was a lot of stuff commented out in 'w' that was not commented out in 'q' or 'y'. Perhaps one of those things is significant. This evening I may try to figure out exactly which version it started working on and then which version it stopped working on. Perhaps that will help localize which change permits scaling to work properly.
