Bob,

One quick and dirty way would be to connect your VCR to the PVR350
when myth isn't running. You can select the correct composite input
for your card using ivtvctl, and then from the command line, cat
/dev/video0 > file.mpg.

There are much more elegant ways of doing this (it's even been a
feature request for MythTV itself) but this avoids changing anything
in Myth.

If your MythTV is using the composite input on the PVR350 for
recordings, you could instead schedule a manual recording for as long
as the tape you want to record, which will also give you an MPEG which
you can then edit further if required.
