I've seen some postings about this, but no resolutions.
Using Gentoo ~x86, after upgrading xorg to
x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.99.15.ebuild
and even after downgrading back down to
x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r2
with the dlloader USE flag.
This is using any recent ivtvdev_drv_o:
# find . -name ivtvdev_drv_o | xargs crc32
...
94a96723 ./ivtv-0.3.5i/utils/ivtvdev_drv_o
9647579e ./ivtv-0.3.7a/utils/ivtvdev_drv_o
I get the following errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOPAN_DISPLAY: Invalid argument
Required symbol shadowAdd from
module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o is unresolved!
Required symbol shadowSetup from
module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o is unresolved!
Required symbol fbPictureInit from
module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o is unresolved!
Required symbol fbScreenInit from
module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o is unresolved!
Required symbol shadowAlloc from
module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o is unresolved!
Both libfb and libshadow are being sucessfully loaded, and contain these
symbols. I tried forcing them to load before ivtvdev, with the same results.
Anyone know what this is? I will post more logs/config if it helps...
