I have a PVR500 with "ivtv: version 0.3.7 (b) loading" and the volume seems to be quite a bit lower than everything else. (such as my PVR-350 and the tv set itself). I am not able to turn the volume up so I can try to match my PVR350's levels and was wondering if I am doing something wrong. Or can somebody fill me in as to how the volume works so I can try to sync it all up?

I have good volume on my 350 and low volume on the 500. And I have grainy picture on my 350 type 47 but excellent picture on my 500 type 57's. So its killing me which one to record with.

PVR500 (first tuner)
# sudo ivtvctl -d /dev/video1 -Y
ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL
Brightness = 127
Contrast = 63
Saturation = 63
Hue = 0
Volume = 65535
Mute = 0

PVR500 (second tuner)
# sudo ivtvctl -d /dev/video2 -Y
ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL
Brightness = 127
Contrast = 63
Saturation = 63
Hue = 0
Volume = 58744
Mute = 0

PVR350
mythtv:~# sudo ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -Y
ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL
Brightness = 127
Contrast = 63
Saturation = 63
Hue = 0
Volume = 58950
Mute = 0

I do not seem to be able to turn up the volume

PVR500 (second tuner)
# ivtvctl -d /dev/video2 --set-ctrl=volume=58950
ioctl VIDIOC_S_CTRL ok

PVR500 (second tuner)
# sudo ivtvctl -d /dev/video2 -Y
ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL
Brightness = 127
Contrast = 63
Saturation = 63
Hue = 0
Volume = 58744
Mute = 0
