Hi John,

Thanks for the reply.

When I run xvinfo I get the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ xvinfo
X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
 no adaptors present
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$

The 'no adaptors present' doesn't sound good to me. Don't know if it makes
any sense to you? Do I need to specify a -display? If so what do I put in
for the argument on -display?

I'm not sure what it is I am using for playback. I've basically built this
machine as a straight Myth box on Jarod's guide with pretty much everything
installed via the ATRPMs.

Unfortunately I am no linux guru. Will try to work out what Myth is using
and post again.

Regards
Marty

What are you using to playback?
Myth,mplayer,xine

Do they indicate that they are using xv or possibly X11.
If you run xvinfo does it say Xv is enabled?

John
