You are preaching to the .. Whatever I suck at clichés. :)

I was in exactly the same boat as you. bought the "new pvr" I was
hoping they had a stable, "cheap to produce" card now that hadn't
changed in a while. Maybe I can pick up an older pvr-250 off eBay or
something.

As for configuration, should I get 2 cards with the same tuner in it (if
possible) or get a different tuner to help clarify troubleshooting.

Subject: Re: [ivtv-devel] new tuner card

One thing is for sure, no card is perfect. Order a pvr-150 from newegg
and one from amazon and you get 2 different cards. They're constantly
changing. I had this question about 2 months ago and I ended up making a

mistake. I got a pvr-150mce which, even though is running nicely now
(thanks guys), doesn't have the great quality of my pvr-350. I think the

standard pvr-150 is significantly better and should be ok. Regardless,
anything you buy will eventually be supported. It took about 4 months
for my pvr-350 to be supported after I bought it but it was a brand new
run of tuners and everyone was busy on other projects. The turn around
time seems to be getting much better so worst case would probably be 2
months. If you can find an old (i.e. 6mo-1yr card from ebay; ask seller
where it was purchased and when) pvr-250 that should run with no
problems. WARNING: stay away from any OEM hauppauges or hauppauges
labeled "Freestyle".
