I've always had this problem, but just now decided to see if anyone else had it or of there was any solution for it. I'm running Gentoo on a Celeron 2.6 system and have a PVR-150 and 150MCE in the box. I am using the 150's receiver for my remote. The problem is, it feels like it is always missing some button presses. When scrolling through lists it takes more effor than it should. Back when I used my PVR-350 it was great.
When running IRW I noticed something. If I hold down on any button, naturally the screen starts flooding with the repeat button presses. However, it seems that at every 1 second interval, it pauses for a few hundred milliseconds and then goes again , as if something is interrupting it. I've tried playing with the repeat= option in the lirc configuration file but it doesn't help. This is clearly something deeper, because of the behavior described above. Any ideas? ~Lou
